SYNTEGRO

Syntegro develops technology that makes your life and that of your HR staff easier. And that is necessary because according to the latest Deloitte Global Gen Z and Millennial Survey, young professionals insist on hybrid working. In other words, if you’re going to recruit and retain talent you need to develop hybrid work strategies. Efficient workforce management software enables you to be flexible in meeting the needs of young talents while your business keeps forging ahead full force, says managing director Frank De Weser.

Millennials and Gen Z-ers insist on hybrid working

Between November 2021 and April 2022 Deloitte conducted a major survey into the work and world view of 8,412 Millennials (born between January '83 and December '94) and 14,808 Gen Z-ers (born between January '95 and December '03) from 46 countries. Kim De Smedt, Senior Manager HR & Outsourcing of Deloitte, dropped by the latest Syntegro customer event to shed some light on several interesting conclusions from this survey.

The results of the study speak for themselves. For instance, the respondents indicate that a good work-life balance, the potential for personal development and a purpose-driven work environment with a varied and inclusive culture are determining factors in their choice of employer.

There are several ways to meet these expectations. One of them lies in heightened flexibility with a focus on flexible hours, a shorter working week and hybrid work methods. The latter in particular is a key demand. More than 75% of respondents expect a hybrid work environment. This is because young professionals feel the benefits are huge:

  1. more room for other, meaningful pastimes;
  2. cost savings;
  3. work faster and more efficiently;
  4. more time for friends and family;
  5. beneficial to mental health.

Good workforce management software ensures a good balance

“Workforce management software helps you find a good balance between home working and working at the office.”

While their positive influence on the work and lives of young millennials is unmistakable, hybrid work schemes also bring challenges for the employer. After all, how can you ensure optimum staffing and availability in this context? How do you create continuity and quality in terms of service? How do you train fresh staff and how do you foster connection and a broadly supported business culture?

“Hybrid working has irrevocably conquered the work floor”, says Frank De Weser. “As an employer the trick now is to strike the right balance between working at home and working at the office. Because that balance is a prerequisite to keep operating at full capacity and to make the most of hybrid working for all parties involved. This is where good workforce management software can help.”

Feasible flexibility

“To organise an optimal hybrid work environment you need technology.”

Frank states that flexibility is becoming more important with each passing day. It has become an essential quality of any healthy, successful enterprise. But you need technology to organise an optimal hybrid work environment and make that flexibility manageable.

“To make hybrid work strategies effective, companies need technology that meticulously registers who works where and when, as well as what employees are doing. In short, software that makes the lives of HR colleagues or your immediate superior easier.

That is precisely what Syntegro’s workforce management software does. With our software, which is also available as an app, employees can request leave or home work but they can also use it to register job-related travel, expenses and sick leave. The software keeps track of this information and channels it to the proper recipients.

For instance, when an employee is working from home, the payroll manager is automatically notified that this colleague is entitled to a home working allowance that day. At the same time, colleagues can see in Outlook, for example, that their colleague is not coming in to work that day.

Operate at full capacity with high-performance workforce management software

“Our workforce management software simplifies complex processes.”

Syntegro’s workforce management software offers a technological response to the growing need for hybrid work strategies. At the same time Syntegro’s technology also brings clarity to the often complex reality of flexible work environments.

“Our workforce management software is geared to the smooth organisation of hybrid working. This is only possible when processes are simplified, communications are clear and the information is transparent. The technology makes every aspect of hybrid working objective and tangible. Do you want to apply for or register a home working day? Then you can immediately see if this is possible. If not, for instance because too many colleagues are already working from home that day, then you are informed of this in a clear and objective manner to avoid all potential disputes.

That is the strength of Syntegro: standard software that simplifies complex processes while fostering hybrid and flexible working. This way we make the lives of both young professionals and HR employees and managers easier while helping businesses to operate at full capacity.”
